inWe’re still waiting. This baby is taking it’s time. I have to remind myself to wait on God’s timing just like we’ve been praying for. I decided to stop asking Him every day to make the baby come and instead to tell Him that I will trust.
Daryl is working a 24-hour shift today, so we are finding things to do here. Like long naps. This afternoon at lunch Olivia had all of us (including Auntie Kim) laughing until we cried. What a ham. She was the little comedian, with a grin but not a laugh, telling us that our old refrigerator had legs, feet and sharp claws, and that it walked all the way to Madagascar. It comes so naturally to her to be funny and keep us laughing. Reminds me of Karla, and Anna-Christina is like me – egging her on and laughing at everything she says.

inThe other day we were sitting in the van waiting for Daryl. Anna-Christina put the hood of her coat over her head (I’m not sure if that is relevant to the story or not) and said, “I’m just an ordinary girl”. I asked her if she knew what ordinary meant, and she said no. So I said, “Well, do you know what regular is?” She says, “Yeah, it means plain milk without chocolate!”
On Saturday we were all helping cook breakfast. Olivia had “accidentally” broken one egg and it was waiting in a big bowl for the other eggs to be scrambled. She had no idea I saw her, but out of the corner of my eye I caught this…With her arms wrapped around the big bowl, she peers in and says, “Hey, what are you doing? Are you a yo-yo? No, you’re not a yo-yo! You’re an egg!”
